Navigating the workplace can be challenging due to communication barriers.

Wavefront Centre’s Employment Services provide support to help job seekers, employees, and employers create inclusive work environments.

Empowering your community to thrive

Our Certified Career Development Practitioners (CCDP) offer career counseling, job search assistance, and workplace accessibility solutions. We also work with employers to foster supportive, accessible workplaces.

Our Employment Services include:

Employment counselling, placement and support

Employment Resource Centre (access to computers, TTY, voice-to-text apps, video relay services, printers, and webcams) 

Employment workshops on resume writing, interview preparation, job search, and job readiness

Occupational skill enhancement training 

Workplace assessments and interventions 

Workplace sensitivity training

Assistance with disability support referrals, e.g., funding for assistive equipment such as hearing aids and alerting devices

Workplace and community presentations, often in collaboration with other agencies  

Employer and employee liaisons 

Facilitating the provision of employee accommodations in the workplace
