We are proud to share that Christopher T. Sutton has been appointed as the Accessibility Commissioner of the Canadian Human Rights Commission, where he will continue his vital work advocating for accessibility on a national level.
After five years of dedicated leadership at Wavefront Centre, Christopher will be stepping down as CEO on May 2, 2025.
Wavefront Centre is making live performances more accessible than ever with Bettear, a cutting-edge audio solution now available at Shadbolt Centre for the Arts, Metro Theatre Vancouver, and Grimsby Public Library.
February’s Social Meals event at Wavefront Centre was a celebration of connection, inclusion, and kindness. Supported by United Way British Columbia, the event fostered a sense of belonging and strengthened community bonds.
Wavefront Centre for Communication Accessibility is proud to announce that it has been selected as one of 11 organizations across Canada to receive funding from The Slaight Family Foundation’s landmark $30 million investment in the disability community.
This funding is the largest of its kind in Canada by a private foundation and represents a transformative step toward creating a more accessible and inclusive society for people living with disabilities.
